Inventions involving plants and animals can be patented if their application is not technically limited to one type of vegetable or animal. Human body elements including gene sequences which have been isolated or otherwise reproduced by technological means can be patented even if their structure is identical to natural ones. However, some processes cannot be patented, for example human cloning and the use of human embryos for industrial or commercial ends.MI
